Biography

Art ambassador, that’s how I like to think of myself, having always been passionate about art history and artistic creation. I studied, then taught, and now I create.

It’s been a long journey, currently marked by the monograph dedicated to me, *Prendre le pli, Claudia Vialaret, 40 Years of Creation*.

My images are hybrid because they correlate works from the past (such as the « Caravaggio’s » series) with contemporary practices, digital tools, photography on fabric, and installation.

I find my inspiration mostly in the works of the great painters, and I transform them to be both with them and apart from them, asserting my personal vision. A sort of “artistic simultaneity,” a play of influences and passion.

This interplay is part of an overall Barocco vision characterized by movement in the compositions, unsettling twists, infinite folds, and a hint of trompe l’oeil.

My current charcoal drawings follow the same direction with the Rapts series, inspired by paintings on the theme of abduction so often explored by Rubens and his contemporaries.

Artist and art ambassador, my path continues, nourished by a double fidelity to heritage and to invention.
